Events Photo Team Photography Privacy Policy

  1. This privacy policy applies to Events Photo Team and the handling of your photographs.
  2. This policy covers the collection, processing and other use of personal data under the Data Protection Act 1998 (“DPA”) and the General Data Protection Regulations (“GDPR”).

  4. By having your photo taken, you consent to this. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office for this purpose.

The type of information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:

  • Photographs and videos of you;
  • Your contact details for postage purposes including; name, postal address, email address and phone number;
  • Your payment card details when you make a purchase or place an order;

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • Having a photo or video taken at one of our venues;
  • When purchasing a product;
  • When ordering a product that needs to be shipped to your postal address;

We use the information and data you have given us in order to fulfil print orders and resolve customer queries, complaints and re-orders.

We may share this information with third parties, or use these for marketing and/or research purposes. Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

  • Your consent. You will be asked to fill out of Photo Consent Form before we share any photos or videos with third parties or use these for marketing purposes. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting consent@eventsphototeam.com or call our Head Office 0151 239 0162.

How we store your personal information

Your photos are retained and securely stored on our encrypted servers, before being automatically electronically deleted. We do not hold your photos for any longer than 3 months unless you give your explicit written consent for them to be used for Marketing Purposes or shared with our Business Partners or third party companies.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing – You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
